My Family

I have been married 13 years. We have a YOURS-MINE-and-OURS situation.

When we met, I was 24, single, and had a 5 year old daughter. My husband was 34 and going through a very hard time with his current wife and 3 year old daughter. We worked at the same place and played softball together. His wife also worked with us, and went to some of the softball games. My parents also worked there; they worked there before I did.

My husband was in the beginning stages of a divorce. And due to some severe ignorance on my part, because he seemed to love and play with his child I persued him. In retrospect... you know, hind-sight is 20-20. Needless to say that it did not speak to well of my character to want a married man, especially one with a child. We both lived separately in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area.

My husband was born in Baltimore, MD, lived a large part of his childhood in Virginia, and then at about 15 moved with his family to south Florida. He left high school in the 9th grade. He got his GED in his 30s.

I was born in Lancaster, OH, lived mostly in Columbus, OH or the general vicinity. I graduated high school in Columbus at 17, went straight to college and graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Sciences at 21. I had a child when I was 19 and provided a home for her while I was trying to finish college. My mother moved to South Florida about a year or so prior to my graduation from college. About a year after that, I moved to South Florida.

After being together a little while, we moved to a small town in central Florida near some of my husband's friends. There were so many signs that I completely chose to ignore. But we will leave that there.

After we had a child together, we decided to marry and then had 3 more children.

So altogether, I had a daughter, he had a daughter, then we had 4 more daughters. God knew what he was doing when he did not provide us with a son.

Now, Our daughters are, in order of age, 24, 21, 15, 12, 9, and 5. My husband is 53 and I am 43.
